IBM 026

This work horse in early computing. Used by punch operators to punch cards from documents. The electronics consists of vacuum tubes and relays. This particular machine had been in use at a small accounting firm in Saltsjöbaden southwest of Stockholm. This company had been using it together with a Univac 9300 computer. Unfortunately it was scrapped before we were able to fetch it.

As can be seen the power supply part (below the nine valves) contains several Selenium rectifiers. If a Selenium rectifier fails it may emit hazardous fumes so until these have been replaced we won't run it.
